Gotta love the MTA!

The MTA, the only transit system that provides live performances, live animals and no star hotel accommodations, all for less than $2.50! Yesterday evening I took the D train and sat down in the "two seater" seat, only to be squished by a man that needed it to be a "three seater"! My discomfort was long forgotten when Michael Jackson appeared and performed thriller live in the middle of the car. His shiny jerry curls and slick moves dazed work fatigued passengers as we traveled on the uptown express. As we watched the performance our heads turned quickly in the opposite direction once the music stopped and Michael opened his tattered satchel expecting pay for his mini Manhattan concert. I leaned back in my tight seat feeling the urge to chuckle and grin at my seat partner who was making my thigh sweat.

OOohh the MTA, the only place where u are face to face with nameless strangers, exchanging breaths and "innocent' body rubs all to get to where we gotta go on time... wait that kind of sounds like the club except without the drinks. Giggle... my stop. later guys.

Self Preservation: Maintaining a Healthy You!

Our jobs and daily activities have a direct impact on our mental and physical health. If you don't believe me...think about your commute to and from work. On an average day we are exposed to thousands of germs and diseases, strenuous work and social situations and distressed commuters who will knock you out the way to get to their destinations!
The daily pressures of life can be a bit overwhelming. We must work hard to survive and maintain our economic standing. Despite these obvious obligations, we must be careful not to run ourselves into the ground. It is so very important for people to take care of themselves. Physical and Psychological health are the key factors to a healthy life style and self preservation.

Why not try to live life stress free?!

A positive mental outlook could increase your life span and prevent dreaded burn out

Start by changing your outlook on life. The glass is not half empty, it is half full! Whenever things get you down, go back to the basics. Daily appreciation of the little things, like food, clothing and shelter are a must! Nine times out of ten your situation isn't as bad as you think; someone is always worse off than you.

Physical activities can help to relieve a great deal of stress. Ever hear the expression, lets make love not war ? Well, give it a try! A good roll in the hay is a sure fire way to relieve stress and tension. Going to the gym or a 5 minute walk can also help eliminate stress and make for a healthier you.

Talking it over with family or friends! Good friendships and family can help you weather a mental storm. Talking to people close to you allows you time to vent and get things off your chest.

Life will always be filled with tough situations and challenges...Let's be healthy enough to face them head on!

Steve Jobs dead at 56

Steve Jobs, the co-founder,chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Apple Inc., is dead at 56. "In a brief statement, Apple announced the death but did not say where he died. Mr. Jobs suffered from a rare form of pancreatic cancer and had a liver transplant in 2009, and he stepped down as Apple’s chief executive on Aug. 24."

Steve Jobs helped to transform the world of computer technology... "as a 21-year-old college-dropout entrepreneur, Mr. Jobs led Apple to multimillion-dollar success in five years. Forced out of his own company by the time he was 30, he started another computer firm, Next, whose technology was used to create the World Wide Web. Mr. Jobs also took over a foundering computer animation company and turned it into the Academy Award-winning Pixar, maker of “Toy Story” and “Finding Nemo.” He returned to Apple in his 40s, restoring the company to profitability by paring down the product line and being a leader in innovation." -The Washington Post

Rest In Peace

Public Displays of Affection: Are you into PDA?

Some people love to kiss, hug and grope their partners in public. Public displays of affection, also known as P.D.A. is the act of openly expressing love and affection in public. You know those long passionate kisses by two lovers standing in the middle of the sidewalk totally oblivious to the traffic of people in circulation around them because they have an intense moment of "frozen in time" passion??!! *Giggle* I'm sure you've seen it before.

Often when we see this 5 minute lip lock action, we tend to say "Get a room!" or "take that s#@t somewhere else!". Public displays of affection can be a turn on for some, but can get a little messy if you let it. Too much public action can make other people feel uncomfortable. I personally think that there should be a 3 minute rule to PDA. Anything lasting more than 3 minutes should be taken indoors for some heavy duty adult action and satisfaction!! What do you think people??
